Cabin 5 – Skiumah (*1 bedroom*)
Please note that our 2 bedroom cabins have a maximum occupancy of 6, and 1 bedroom cabins have a maximum capacity of 4.
During certain weeks, we may require a stay longer than the typical 3-day minimum.
We look forward to hosting you at Glacier Wilderness Resort! Here’s some information to help you plan your time here.
Check-in time is between 4 and 6 pm. If you will be arriving later, please call or text 406-888-9884 to let us know. Early check in may be possible if arranged ahead of time, but during busy summer months may not be feasible.
Please keep in mind that one bedroom cabins have a maximum occupancy of 4 people, and two bedroom cabins have a capacity of 6 people. We CANNOT make exceptions to these limits. Also, please note that NO PETS ARE ALLOWED AT THE RESORT.
In our mountainous area you will not have cell phone service, but we have recently made improvements to our WiFi to provide better coverage in all the cabins. There is also a landline phone in our Lodge, which is open 24/7. Local calls are free; you will need a calling card for long distance. You are welcome to give the resort office phone number of (406) 888-9884 as an emergency contact number and we will deliver messages.
We supply the cabin with bedding, bath towels, dedicated hot tub towels kitchen towels (so many towels!!), dish soap, dishwasher tablets, laundry detergent & softener sheets, hand soap, tissue, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters, and salt and pepper. There is a hair dryer and a washer and dryer in the ground floor bathroom of each cabin. We do not provide shampoo or bar soap. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave, stove & oven. There is a charcoal grill on each deck; please bring charcoal and lighter fluid as they are not provided by the resort. If you prefer a propane gas grill, there are three outside the Lodge available for guests to use.
The physical address for Glacier Wilderness Resort is 13400 Highway 2 East, West Glacier, MT 59936. We are just past mile marker 163, approximately 10 miles east of the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Slow down as soon as you see the 163 marker, as our driveway can be hard to spot.
Our managers, Tammi and Joseph, have lived in this area and both worked in Glacier National Park before coming to GWR, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ask questions ahead of time. We are eager to help you make the most of your stay. Safe travels!
If you are interested in coming back to Glacier Wilderness Resort multiple times, consider purchasing a week and becoming one of our owners! For a very reasonable cost, comparable to what you would pay for a week’s vacation here, you become the deeded owner of one specific cabin for the same calendar week each year. This is a unique timeshare community: reasonable in cost, very flexible, and we make it easy for you to relinquish your week if you should need to do that.
The cost to purchase a cabin for a week is probably less than you think, and the annual maintenance fees owners pay in subsequent years are considerably less than the cost of renting a cabin. Owners are able to rent additional weeks at a special owner’s rate (depending on availability, of course), and have the flexibility to let friends and family use their week if they are not able to come themselves.
We have many families who have been gathering and making special memories here for years, even decades, and we invite you to consider becoming part of the Glacier Wilderness Resort community, too!
Please call the office at 406-888-9884 to inquire about availability and learn more.
